Things to Do In Chandigarh
Welcome to the city beautiful, Chandigarh. It is a place that has some of the most beautiful Tourist attractions like museums, parks, gardens and lake and much more. Below is the list of things to do in Chandigarh:

Rock Garden: If you throw away all the dump material from your house, visit the Rock Garden and you will see how beautifully Nek Chand has used the waste material in making of this incredible garden. The garden covers a large area displaying sculptures made from waste and recycled materials; it’s all the hard work of a brainy child that took him 40 years to create this garden. The creation of this garden started as a mere hobby and was kept secret because the land was owned by government and Nek Chand worked in the secret of night. But the day state authorities discovered this little garden there raised the controversy between demolishing and letting it stay. With victory of Nek Chand unique art the garden was further developed and later in 1976 it was opened for public viewing. No one can restrain from appreciating hundreds of human and animal forms, craftily sculpted out of regular city waste, such as broken earthenware, electrical items, drums, jute bags, broken glass, bottles, bangles, pebbles etc. To get the real feel, visit it!

Sukhna Lake: While you visit the Rock Garden, you can visit a second most beautiful tourist spot in Chandigarh, the Sukhna Lake. It is a large man made lake located at a walking distance from the rock garden. It is a favorite picnic spot for local families as well as outsiders. The college students often spend time at the lake with friends as the place is soothing and spacious for the excited souls. The best thing to do at the lake is hiring a boat and paddle your way to the center of the lake to enjoy the scenic beauty of the place more closely. While boating you are accompanied by cute little ducklings around your boat that have made lake their home. You fill find some other handicraft shops in the lake complex. The state authority has opened a café that serves good South Indian food and continental snacks.

Rose Garden: The most beautiful rose collection can be seen in the marvelous Rose Garden in sector 17 Chandigarh. It is the largest of its kind in Asia. This beautiful garden is named after India’s former President Zakir Hussain was set up in 1967. This amazing garden contains more than 17,000 plants.
