Details
Your posts and ratings are kept and can appear on the site. Duplicate votes are blocked with a scrambled code rather than your IP address.
On this site that also means:
- Reviews, questions and noticeboard posts you choose to send, with the name and contact details you add.
- Ratings, tied to a one-way scrambled version of your IP address so each visitor rates once.
The server notes routine technical details of each visit, like IP address and browser type, which helps us fix problems and block abuse.
We record anonymous totals, like tool uses and outbound clicks.
To be handy, the site can remember what you typed last, on your own device only.
Cookies
You don’t need an account, and we don’t set our own cookies for ordinary visits.
Should we use analytics or ads, their cookies help count visits and pick ads. Most browsers can block them.
Noticeboard posts
The phone number or email you add to a noticeboard post is shown on that post, because that is how people reply. Posts are removed automatically when they expire, and you can ask us to remove yours sooner.
Weather
The weather and air-quality box loads data from Open-Meteo directly in your browser. We do not send them anything about you.
Your data, your call
We do not sell or rent personal information. The only people who see your information are us and the providers that keep the site running, unless the law requires otherwise. Want your details removed? Write to privacy@chandigarh4u.com and we’ll do it.
If you believe a child under 13 sent us personal details, tell us and we’ll delete them. If anything here changes, the new version replaces this page. This version: October 17, 2026.
